“Father’s Day”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled themin condemning him.
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30 But God raised him from the dead:
31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.”
Are you a father? Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If you do, do you set a godly example with your life for your children?
God calls us to be the spiritual leaders of our homes. Jesus’ life was an example to us. Help people. Guide your family. Raise your children.
While God has a plan and purpose for His creation, including fathers, mothers, and children… society has a different way pushing into our culture as the normal way. It is not God’s way.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“There's five things you will never hear a father say:
1: Well, how about that... I'm lost. Looks like we have to stop and ask for directions.
2: Here's a credit card and the keys to my new car. Go crazy.
3: Your mother and I are going away for the weekend, you might want to consider throwing a party.
4: Why would you want to go and get a job? I make plenty of money for you to spend.
5: Father's Day, eh? Well, don't worry about that, it's no big deal."
“This was an interesting one. Billy Graham said this. He tells of a time during the early years of his preaching ministry when he was due to lead a crusade meeting in a town in South Carolina and he needed to mail a letter. He asked a little boy on the main street how to get to the post office. After the boy had given him directions, Billy said, “Hey son, if you’ll come to Central Baptist Church tonight, I'll tell you how to get to heaven.” The boy replied, “No, thanks, you don’t even know how to get to the post office!”
Bible Verses:

Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind;
and thy neighbour as thyself.” - Luke 10:27

“His Ways”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
2 And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:
3 Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.
4 And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side Jordan.
5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.”
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If you do, you should be serving Him. The Bible tells us that Jesus said, "Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live." when a man answered, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." to Jesus' question, "What is written in the law? how readest thou?" [Luke 10:26-28]
Are you serving Him? Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“We think of these countries and all their power... it's like a grain of sand compared to God's power.”
"Lord help me to do what's right. Help me to live for You."

“Solomon's Wisdom”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.”
Have you ever wanted to be wise? If given the question of God to ask for anything - what would you ask for?
Solomon asked for wisdom - of all things to ask for, that was his most wanted thing from the Lord... Why? He wanted to rule with an understanding heart; and, through the wisdom imparted by God, to care for his people and to help them to know God and serve them as a great king to them.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
"Solomon understood that the country would rise or fall under his leadership. And that's why he wanted God's wisdom and help with these things.”
"So all the other kings of different nations and people they were amazed at his wisdom. Amazed at how God was using him."
"He's just a prayer away. Isn't that good? He's just a prayer away."
Bible Verses:

when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were
cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial
unto the children of Israel for ever.” - Joshua 4:7

“A Hopeful Memory”
by Pastor Jason DeVrou
“1 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
2 Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,
3 And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:
5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
8 And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.”
Memory...
What is memory? It is our ability to retain information based on things we've experienced in our past. Sometimes memory fails us. Often times, throughout history and biblically, we have set memorials to remember things that are important to us.
Whether it's our newer tradition of things like Memorial Day or long ago set promises such as rainbows in the sky that God gave us to remember His covenant with us. Or that amazing sacrifice that Jesus did for us in breaking His body, His holy, precious blood shed for us... "Do This in Remembrance of Me".
Memory may fail us sometimes. However, whether it's Memorial Day or otherwise, there are many things we should not forget. We have many important things that we need to remember.
Special Guest Speaker Pastor Jason DeVrou explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
"Today we celebrate again and memorialize those who fought and died for our freedom."
“How many of you have ever walked into a room and stood there for a little while trying to figure out why you're even there?”
"How many of you know when people walk up to you and they call you by your name... 'Hey how you doing' and you're looking at them and you're like... uhhh, what's your name?"
"I hate when my memory fails me like that."
Bible Verses:
“Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan
were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD;
when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were
cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial
unto the children of Israel for ever.” - Joshua 4:7

“Heal Our Land”

We need the Lord, our God, to heal our land. Our land is broken. Degeneracy, promiscuity, vulgarity, obscenity, all the things that anger and go against the Lord have become normal and acceptable in our culture.
We, as a nation, have turned away from God. We need a revival. A turning back to the Lord.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“In April of 1863 in Columbia, Mississippi, after decorating the graves of her two sons that served in The Civil War as confederate soldiers, the elderly woman also decorated two mounds at the corner of the cemetary.
An observer asked, 'What are you doing? Those are the graves of two Union soldiers.' The reply, 'I know. I also know that somewhere in the North, a mother or a young wife mourns for them as we do ours.'
That woman and a little band of ladies set in motion what became Memorial Day. Memorial Day is set aside each year to remember those who gave their lives in the armed forces. Remember those who died in far away battlefields to bring freedom and democracy to oppressed peoples.
We commemorate their actions by honoring them in ceremonies across the land...”

“Mothers Day”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.”
Mother’s are the backbone of the family, especially spiritually. They can be the They schedule, they comfort, they love, they do so many roles: nurse, therapist, teacher, administrative, financial, and so, so many more.
We should honor our mothers. They should be loved, cherished, honored, adored, respected, and valued beyond measure.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Its [Mothers Day] origin started in 1907 when Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia started a campaign to honor mothers two years after her own mother died. In 1910, West Virginia became the first state to recognize Mothers Day. A year later nearly every state officially marked the day. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed Mothers Day as a national holiday for the second Sunday in May.”
"Anna Jarvis' accomplishments soon became a bitter disappointment for her. She became enraged by its commercialization. She filed a lawsuit - to stop Mothers Day being celebrated - in 1923. She was arrested for disturbing the peace at a war mothers convention where white carnations - her symbol for mothers - were being sold to raise money."
Her complaint, "I want it to be a day of sentiment. Not of profit.” - Anna Jarvis

“Innocent Blood”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
In our passage today we see that God hates hands that shed innocent blood. How much more innocent can a person be than one that has not even been able to speak, walk, or act in our world - little babies in the womb.
Our world has accepted a satanic lie: that these precious little children are not worthy of life. God detests this behavior of abortion. It is murder.
There is forgiveness for the sin of abortion. Forgiveness is only found in the shed, precious blood of Jesus Christ. The work Jesus did on the cross is sufficient and enough to save you. Repent. Turn to Him. ❤️🙏
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
"Abortion is murder. Simple as that."
“This [abortion] is one of the big warnings that God is giving us as a nation as we're rebelling from His precious Word.”
“Our trust is in Him; our trust is not in this world.”
“How long is God going to put up with this country?”

“Blessed Thou Art”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
God calls many people blessed. Jesus tells us some of these in today’s passage. Do you serve God with your life, your time, your body? Is your body a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God? [Romans 12:1]
Pastor shares some beatitudes regarding service in your church, your home, your life in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“satan’s beatitudes:
Blessed are they who are too tired and busy to go to Church on Sundays and Wednesdays for they are my workers.
Blessed are they who are bored with the ministers' mannerisms and mistakes for they get nothing out of his sermon.
Blessed is the church member who expects to be invited to his own church for he is part of the problem instead of a solution.
Blessed are they who gossip for they cause strife and division that please me.
Blessed are they that are easily offended for they soon get angry and quit.
Blessed are they who do not give their tithes and offerings to carry on God's work for they are my best workers.
Blessed are they who profess to love God but hates his brother.
Blessed are the troublemakers for they shall be called the children of satan.
Blessed are the complainers for I am all ears to them."
“This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.”

“He. Is. Risen.”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.
29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.
31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.
32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.”
The King of glory died on the cross. He took the burden of sin on Himself to save you. You. Were. On. His. Mind.
Pastor explores the miraculous bodily resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
"That as the death of the cross was a Roman punishment, so it was the manner of the Romans to scourge and whip them and then deliver them to be crucified."

“Bible Mysteries"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”
Is Jesus coming soon? Do the events, industries, and news of today seem to correlate with Biblical revelations and prophecy?
Are we the last generation?
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“All through scripture, God gives us mysteries. Prophecies for us to figure out.”
“I believe the Lord could come back soon. Real, real soon.”
“The people who don’t want to follow him [the antichrist] will be persecuted.”
Bible Verses:

“Storms in Our Life”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:“
There are many, many storms in our lives. Sickness, troubles, financial situations, even literal storms, like we've had recently here in Northern Michigan.
Do you waver in your faith during the hard times in life? Does it increase your faith? Our text today states, "For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [Verse 6b]
Noah, through the literal flood, was safely delivered. Would going through that be scary and trying? Yes, of course it would. But his faith in God was what he leaned on through those storms.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Storms of life come and go; through the flood, His love will show."
"It had to be terrible, losing everything you had - but he [Job] was still faithful."

“Whose Slave Are You?”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
---------------------------
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
Are you a new creation after accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior? Have you been made new? Our old lives should be put away. Will you stumble and fail? Yes. Paul tells us that the things he would do, he did not; but the things he hated, he did [Romans 7:15]. Our lives should be submitted to God, resisting the devil [James 4:7].
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“But old ways should be behind us, that's for sure."
"But before you were saved, no matter who we were - we were slaves to sin. We were slaves to the devil. Many don't understand that. Number one, we were slaves to self."
"Listen, if we get saved and we turn our life around, God gives us far more and much better. Much better than what we ever expected. Amen?"
"There's a price tag on all sins."
"Walk by new rules, towards new ends, from new principles. Make a new choice of the way. Choose new paths to walk in, new leaders to walk after, new companions to walk with. Old things should pass away, and all things become new. The man is what he was not, does what he did not." - Matthew Henry [source (under section 2, (1.) referring to Romans 6:4 {It is to walk in newness of life, v. 4}]
"Conversion... is separating ourselves from the course and custom of this world, and devoting ourselves to the conduce [according] of the word of God." - Matthew Henry [source (under section II., sentence #6)

“Fervent Prayer”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD ismy light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
How fervent are your prayers? Do you seek the Lord with your whole heart? Our hearts and minds, as believers, should be to seek after God’s will and purpose for our lives. Not our own desires.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Did God help him [David]? Oh, yes, He did.”
“God will not do for us what we can do for ourself. But… He will help us.”

“What Benefit Are We To the Lord?"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
2 Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand.
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.”
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior? If you do, wealth, riches, material possessions, at the end of your life - none of that really makes any difference. It's just stuff.
However, if we have fulfilled much of our purpose that God has given us here in this life. That is what matters for eternity.
Make no mistake. God has create you for great purpose. You were meticulously and perfectly made exactly as God wanted you to be made and He has a great purpose for your life.
Pastor explores this in today's message.
Notes & Quotes:
“You hear people say, 'Well there was a whole bunch of authors that wrote the Bible.' Well, in some sense that's true, but God chose them. He chose them."
"Some believe there is a God but deny the Bible is His true, infallible, Holy Word."
"God is purely Holy, Righteous, Pure. We have nothing to offer Him. We really don't. But- because salvation is totally a gift from God. But we are of value to God because He has made it so."
"Salvation is much more than forgiveness of sins... It is being a vital part of God's plan and His purpose. That's what gives us value. Why? Because He wants to use us."
Bible Verses:
"Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn
yourselves from your idols; and turn away your
faces from all your abominations.” - Ezekiel 14:6

“True Salvation"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul's neck, and kissed him,
38 Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.”
Do you put things ahead of your relationship with Jesus Christ? God will discipline those in His flock who have idols and things that hinder their walk with Him.
Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ is one step towards a relationship with Him. Paul, in Romans, says [10:13], “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Many places in the Bible warn us to repent and turn away from our idols [Ezekiel 14:6].
The Bible tells us that even the devils believe and tremble [James 2:19]; this is shown in the devils knowing Jesus [Matthew 8:29].
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“If you have no repentance in that (prayer), then the Bible says you become a double child of hell.” [Matthew 23:15]
“When we call upon the Lord that’s when we receive the gift of salvation.”
“Not one of us deserves salvation.”
“I know enough about Heaven to know I’d like to be there.”
“There is none righteous, no, not one.” [Romans 3:10]
Bible Verses:
Revelation 21:11 (Heaven’s radiance like a precious stone) // Revelation 21:18-21 (Golden streets, foundations of precious stones) //
Revelation 22:5 (No need for sun or moon, eternal light) // Revelation 4:6 (Sea of glass, like crystal)

“Rich Man & Lazarus”
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.“
Wealth and material possessions don’t save us. Faith in false idols or religious leaders; faith in money; faith in feelings and emotions; all these faiths lead to destruction and an eternity in hell.
Only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will save you.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Nobody can buy you out of hell; nobody can pray you out of hell…”
“It’s our choice. God won’t force anybody.”
“Don’t wait, you may not get another tomorrow.”
“Our bodies will die; they’re going to be buried; they’ll turn back to dust. Back to where we came from.”
“I would much rather be like Lazarus than the rich man. How about you?”

“Apple of Your Eye"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
3 What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
---------------------------------------------------------
12 I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
15 That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow."
Will things have value to us in 100 years? What will last the test of time? Only our relationship with our Lord. Is your focus on Him?
satan works diligently to create diversions and distractions to keep our eyes and our focus to be off of God.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.

“Aren't You Grateful You Don't Get What You Deserve?"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth."
Are we good people? Is there any works or justification to a Holy, Righteous God that will get us into Heaven?
We deserve hell. But as the passage says in verse 22, "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not."
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“We can forgive, we can forget when someone hurts our feelings."
"Every day, in some way, I fail Him in some way and I have to say, 'I'm sorry.'"
"How many times do we overlook when someone does us wrong?"
"Listen... we have to be patient with people. We have to be patient."

“Devoted to God and His Word"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:
2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.
8 And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things.
9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
15 And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed.
16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.”
Once you repent and come to the truth of Jesus Christ, a life change starts to happen in your life. The Holy Spirit gives us a direct connection to God to know Him and seek Him out. Our devotion and committment to Him is still our own choice as God never coerces or interferes with our free will.
Are you devoted to God and His Word? Pastor explores the early church men and women's devotion and God's Word on this matter in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
“As we can see, the first Christ followers were 100% devoted to Christ and to His cause. They were sold out, completely committed to Him and His Word and were ready to make an impact."
"If you've never had a time in your life where you've repented and by faith invited the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior, you're not saved. You can be in church all your life, but if you don't get saved, you'll go to hell. You might have Christian parents, that doesn't make any difference. That's not gonna get you into heaven. You can't buy your way... none of those things."
"If someone's not saved, born again. If you're listening, you should really, really be listening to what God's got to say. Because if you don't and you don't repent and get saved, you'll spend eternity in hell. You say, 'I don't like to hear about hell, Preacher.' Check out the Bible."

“What Are You Doing For The Lord?"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall beon the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
What is your life but a vapor? Are we to be prideful of our goodness? Our greatest accomplishments are nothing but filthy rags to the Lord.
James warns us that if we know to do good and do not do it, that is sin. Are you doing the good God has called of you?
Pastor explores this in today’s message.

“Falling Away"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”
Do some Pastors and clergy not know or even believe in God? As men, we tend to rely on our own knowledge and intellect. This causes us, in our naivety and pride, to fall away from God's Word, Jesus Christ, and the truth... into our own vane thoughts and beliefs, which are incredibly flawed and deceitful.
Some of the men like this have explored incredibly dangerous ideologies and can exploit their power by persuading their congregations away from God’s Word or play the part, deceptively, sometimes only for financial purposes.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.
Notes & Quotes:
From the Pastors and clergy that has fallen away:
“As long as you’re talking about God and Jesus and the Bible - that’s what they want to hear.”
“If not believing in a supernatural and holy God, makes you an atheist, then I am one.”
“… remains in the ministry largely for financial reasons…”
“I see it as play acting..
From our Pastor:
“Don’t be one that falls away.”

“Trump's Re-election Win"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in theirhands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”

“We Are the Book of Revelation Generation"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
Are we the Book of Revelation generation? Are we living in the last days before the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ? The truth is you better get right with God and accept the truth of Jesus Christ because all signs point to Him coming soon.
Many people think we are heading to and living in a time of peace and prosperity. But the world is full of wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, and many other prophetic events.
Pastor Doctor says We are the Book of Revelation Generation. How long do we have? Only the Father knows. Please, we urge you, get right with God today and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. ♥️🙏

"The Complete Picture of a Believer"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.”
Paul calls Timothy eight titles within his letter to him, encouraging both Timothy and also each of us in the faith.
The eight things he calls Timothy are:
Son - we are born again and become children of God by our faith and belief in Jesus' finished work on the cross
Steward - someone who is giving God our time, our talents, our resources, our effort, and our sacrifices
Soldier - someone who take orders, has to endure hardness, requires endurance, takes an army of us
Athlete - strive for mastery, lawfully; obeys the rules God has set before us in our lives
Farmer - we need to plow, we need to sow, we need to water, we need to harvest - sometimes we are only part of this process
Worker - we expect tradesmen to follow their blueprints or plans, depending upon their expertise; as followers of Jesus Christ, we should follow the plans He has given us in His Word
Vessel for God's Glory - we are to be a clean vessel for God's glory. Our actions should reflect this truth, as faithful believers in Jesus Christ.
Servant - we should serve the Lord with a cheerful heart. Not slavery, but servitude; voluntarily, because we love Him and want to keep His commandments and will for our lives.
Pastor explore this in today's message.
Notes & Quotes:
“Paul stresses the importance of godly living... preaching the Word in season, out of season, Amen. And preparing for the coming time of trouble within the church... ...do we see that in some churches in America today?"
