“Don't Follow Satan!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
-------
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Have you seen deception in the world? False teachers, deceptive teachings? These so-called teachers will sometimes represent themselves as believers - as followers of Jesus Christ. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. They seek whom they can devour.
Paul warned of such things happening even back then in their times in today's passage. There truly is nothing new under the sun. Beware the messages you're hearing and test them with God's preserved Word.
Pastor explores these false teachers and warns in today's message: Don't Follow Satan!

“Reflections of Life!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
8 And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?
Jacob (Israel) had many children. He blessed his grandsons, giving favor to the youngest. Why? It was tradition to bless the firstborn.
In today’s message, Pastor explores Jacob’s life and how Jacob wrestled with God (literally, Gen. 32:22-32) and figuratively throughout his life.
From ‘Heel grabber’ to ‘a prince of God’, Jacob / Israel’s life can show us how God can change us, through His power, to bless us in ways we cannot even imagine.

“History of America"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?"
Do you enjoy the freedom that America has to offer? Often in today's age, we are taught deceiving things about our history. Many of our founding fathers were Christians. They built many of our laws and our ways on biblical principles. Today, many of the same institutions built on these principles actively deny and work against the moral code the Bible instilled into them.
Pastor explores the History of America in today's message.

“4th of July"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee."
God could bless or destroy America just like He has other countries. He is our only hope and help. A shield and protector if we are faithful to Him. Pastor explores America's state in today's message.
Notes & Quotes:
America, the Beautiful?
America the Beautiful or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride; I'm glad they'll never see
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly. Poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away.
From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray.
We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.
You think that God's not angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God, from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face and mend our evil way:
Then God will hear from Heaven and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the Beautiful, if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee."

“Father's Day"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."
He is our Heavenly Father. He knows every one of us. He cares for us. Kids need their fathers; just like we need our Heavenly Father. What does He provide for us as followers of Him?
We, as fathers, need to: lead by example, Influence others for generations to come, choose to do right in all things, and above all, follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Notes & Quotes:
“There's five things you will never hear a father say:
1: Well, how about that... I'm lost. Looks like we have to stop and ask for directions.
2: Here's a credit card and the keys to my new car. Go crazy.
3: Your mother and I are going away for the weekend, you might want to consider throwing a party.
4: Why would you want to go and get a job? I make plenty of money for you to spend.
5: Father's Day, eh? Well, don't worry about that, it's no big deal."
“This was an interesting one. Billy Graham said this. He tells of a time during the early years of his preaching ministry when he was due to lead a crusade meeting in a town in South Carolina and he needed to mail a letter. He asked a little boy on the main street how to get to the post office. After the boy had given him directions, Billy said, “Hey son, if you’ll come to Central Baptist Church tonight, I'll tell you how to get to heaven.” The boy replied, “No, thanks, you don’t even know how to get to the post office!”

“A.I."
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."
The time is at hand. Jesus Christ will return soon for His bride, the church, to be caught up with Him in the clouds. Will you be ready?
The advancement of AI shows the end is near. The beast system is being implemented. It has been centuries in the making, but now is coming at a rapid pace.
Will you stand with Jesus Christ or be left behind, lost to be eternally separate from God.

“Mother's Day, Proverbs 31"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."
"Did you know that the idea for Mothers Day was born in a small Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia?
It was 1876 and the nation still mourned the Civil War dead. While teaching a Memorial Day lesson, Mrs. Anna Reeves Jarvis thought of mothers who had lost their sons. She prayed that one day there could be a “Memorial Day” for mothers. The prayer made a deep impression on one of Mrs. Jarvis eleven children. Young Anna had seen her mothers efforts to hold the war-split community and church together. As she grew into adulthood, the younger woman kept Mrs. Jarvis dream in her heart. On the day of her mothers death, Anna was determined to establish Mothers Day in her honor.
On May 12, 1907, a local observance was held which later spread to Philadelphia. By 1910, Mothers Day was celebrated in forty-five states, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. Elated, Miss Jarvis told a friend, “Where it will end must be left for the future to tell. That it will circle the globe now seems certain.”
On May 8, 1914, President Wilson designated the second Sunday in May as Mothers Day “for displaying the American flag and for the public expression of love and reverence for the mothers of the country.”"
Pastor explores the importance and honor that Mother's - and women all together - hold for us in our daily lives in today's message.

“Last Days"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."
Matthew 24:36-42
We are living in the last seconds of the last days. Tribulation is coming. God’s wrath is coming. Pastor shares this warning to those who deny Jesus: repent and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Time is surely running out.

“Jesus is the Head the Church is the body!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;"
Faithfulness should be our desire - for our walk with Jesus, for our lives as brothers and sisters in Christ, seeking after Him in all things - seeking to live our lives abundantly, as only He can help us to do.
Living in abundance can only happen if Jesus is your Savior; why? Because He has to be your spiritual head. Otherwise, your spiritual body is already dead.
Pastor explores this in today’s message.

“Easter"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
"1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
3 And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
What put Jesus on the cross? Was it the Roman soldiers just doing their job? Was it the religious leaders of the day, accusing Jesus of being a false teacher, a blasphemer, etc.?
Yes, they played their part. Just as Judas Iscariot did in betraying Jesus. Each person and each part was pivotal in completing His mission - to redeem us.
The most powerful thing that led Jesus to perform such a difficult, brutal feat was His great love for us. Despite our wretched ways, our sinful desires, and our rebellious nature against God, our Creator, Jesus knew He must endure the cross to offer us salvation.

“Palm Sunday"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
Would you recognize the Messiah? Many religious leaders of Jesus' day did not. They believed he was a blasphemer and a false teacher. They sought to denounce Him and His followers and when His ministry continued to grow, they sought to kill Him.
Some of His day knew Him, though. They worshipped Him the Sunday before His ministry's final hours by using palms to honor His entrance into Jerusalem. Pastor explores this on today, Palm Sunday.

“Depart from me, said Jesus!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Is your house built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ? Do you have a relationship with Him? The three most scary words for a self-professed Christian would have to be, "depart from me", as Jesus tells us in this passage that many will profess to know Him but will not.
Some points that our Pastor brings to this message: religious language does not mean relationship; spiritual activity is not proof of salvation (some of these activities may impress people, but it doesn’t impress God); Jesus judges based on relationships not reputations.
So, do you know Him? Is your faith and trust in His finished work on the cross? Have you repented, earnestly, of your sins and actively turn from them in reliance to His work? If you haven't, today is the day to make sure.

“Last Days"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
There are many signs that we are in the last moments before the coming of the Lord; first for the rapture of His church, then for the great tribulation, and finally the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to setup His kingdom for His millennial reign.
Pastor explores some of the biblical evidence for our world revealing God's plans through prophesy that we are in the last days... there are so many verses to show that we are close. Through deceptions and propaganda, satan is setting up the path for his own person to represent his power - the antichrist. Do you see the signs? Pastor explores this in today's message.

“About Esther"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
There are many things in this world that can draw us towards anger and frustration. The Lord can help us if we ask of Him. He tells us to not allow our anger to tempt us towards evil or sin.
Sometimes our plans turn on ourselves - often if we believe we are getting away with something that is sinful.
"You can count on the devil wanting to expose your sins."

“As a Little Child"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them."
Do you trust the Lord as a little child? We should have faith and trust in Him to help us with all things. Often, we rely on our own abilities and understanding. This is when we cause our lives to become more difficult because we cannot do it alone.
We need to be teachable, mild, not stubborn, willing to obey our Heavenly Father. We need to come to Him as a little child. Pastor explores this in today's message.

“Why Christianity is Hated"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Why is following the Lord Jesus Christ so divisive? Why do people hate His followers so much? Jesus told us that, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." [v.18] Why did He give us this warning? Because He knew that following Him would carry a heavy burden. Because He is the truth. Not a truth. Not my truth. THE TRUTH.
And the truth is hated in a world full of lies and deception. Many people follow satan - not out of willingness or purpose - out of pure ignorance. Tragically, just as Jesus said of those crucifying them, they know not what they do.
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? We pray that you do. If you do, please be bold for Him as He laid His life down for us - it's really the least we can do.

“Eternal Heaven or Eternal Hell!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
Our confidence and faith should be in the truth and finished work of Jesus Christ. God has done so much for our benefit - and in mercy despite our fallen state.
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If you do, do you spread the good news of Jesus Christ with others?
We have a choice - eternal heaven or eternal hell - we all deserve hell; however, we are saved by God's grace in giving us salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Repent; trust in Him; He is returning soon.

“Real Hope"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“1 (A Song of degrees.) I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."
Have courage
Have patience
Labor for the Lord
Trust in God
Our path in life is not easy. However, there is real hope in Jesus Christ. Do you know Him as your Savior?

“Pride Goeth Before Destruction"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
Pride. It affects us all. How will you let it affect you? Ho do you let it affect your walk with God? Will you be too prideful to humble yourself before Him? Are you back sliding and too prideful to come back to Him?
Pastor explores this dreadful sin - the first sin satan had in believing himself to be able to rise to the same level or higher than God - that of pride - in today's message. We pray you have humbled yourself before the Lord, repented, and come to know Jesus as your personal Savior.

by Pastor Silas Doctor
“35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
The Bible says, clearly, that every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord [Philippians 2:10-11].
Ultimately, God has given us a choice. But make no mistake. Jesus is King.
How to start the new year: "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil." [Ephesians 4:24-27]

“New Year....How to Start A New Year!"
by Pastor Silas Doctor
“17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
God calls us, as followers of Jesus Christ, to put away our old lives and our old selves [v. 22] - who we were before we knew Jesus Christ as our personal Savior - and adorn the new creation we are in Christ Jesus [v. 24].
He is our great Coach, our Creator, our Savior, our Help, and our God. If you know Him, are you following Him like you should? If you don't know Him, please, please get it settled today.
